I offer therapy for adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low mood, relationship difficulties, self-criticism, loss, depression and challenges connected to identity, family or cultural expectations.
You do not need to fit neatly into one category. Different experiences often overlap, and we can explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels manageable.
Experiences of trauma, loss, prolonged stress or burnout can leave you feeling constantly alert, emotionally shut down, exhausted or disconnected from yourself. You may notice anxiety, low mood, difficulty trusting others, strong emotional reactions or a tendency to keep going while quietly struggling inside.
I offer trauma-informed counselling that gives us space to understand how your experiences have affected you, without rushing you or expecting you to disclose more than feels safe.
Anxiety can appear as overthinking, fear of disappointing others, difficulty making decisions, physical tension or feeling unable to switch off. You may also have a harsh inner critic or feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy.
Together, we can explore the beliefs and patterns maintaining these difficulties, develop more supportive ways of responding to yourself and help you feel less controlled by fear or self-blame.
Relationships, family roles, culture, faith and expectations can shape how we see ourselves and what we believe we are allowed to need. You may feel caught between loyalty to others and the wish to live more authentically, or find yourself repeating relationship patterns that leave you feeling unseen or emotionally drained.
Therapy can provide a space to understand these patterns, strengthen your sense of self and explore relationships and choices in a way that respects both your background and your individual needs.
